Swiss Korean Innovation Week 2025
In May 2025, Erika Marthins was invited to speak at the closing event of Swiss–Korean Innovation Week in Seoul, hosted by the Embassy of Switzerland in Korea. The evening’s PechaKucha Night brought together artists, designers, and researchers around the theme of Human Augmentation.
Erika presented her artistic practice and introduced Paik Replayed through selected early research outcomes, including digital taxonomies, exhibition mapping and curatorial reflections, that explore how digital formats reshape the way artworks are exhibited and received. Her talk raised key questions around access, transposition and interpretation, using Nam June Paik’s media thinking as a lens for reimagining exhibition as a hybrid, evolving space.
It was a pleasure to share the stage with fellow speakers Salar Shahna, Yeji Kim, Marc Atallah, Youlan No, Seunghwan Kim, Maya Minder, and Kyunwoo Chun — each contributing unique perspectives to the evening’s dialogue.
Warm thanks to Ambassador Dagmar Schmidt Tartagli, Miguel La Plante, Suna Kim, Ji Yeon (Ellen) Lee and the Embassy team for making this gathering possible.
